Embassy Legalisation
If the country has not signed up to the Hague Convention then legalisation at the Embassy will be required.
Currently there are 108 embassies in the Hague and CDN’s dedicated team can arrange for documents to be stamped at most of the Consulates.
Often you will find that your document must be legalised by the local government such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (CDC) first before we can arrange for the relevant Embassy to fully legalise
Legalisation is a multi-step process. You will often find that your document will need to be authenticated by a government body first before the Embassy of the destination will consider this to be genuine and valid.
Processing times can vary from 2 to 3 days up to 1 to 2 weeks so it is worth bearing this in mind when applying for your certificates.
Copies of your documents will be required by the Embassy, this is something we take care of without any additional charges.
